I think these are from the early 1900's. I have a pair of these, listing them separately. Each have their issues, but still very cute for display. I am not sure what they are made of, they are hollow, but have a hard surface, so thinking paper mache, with plaster of Paris coating over it. Just a guess.
This is Bunny #1~~~~These were made kind of crude, but this one is in Pretty nice condition, has a lot of pot marks, nicks in the paint, and one hind leg has a hairline. On the same leg, there is a open hole, apparently done when it was made, but wanted to mention for accuracy. The crack flexes a bit when you pull on it, but it does not go all the way through, or is not loose. Don't know if a person could get a little glue in the crack or not. Bunny measures about 5.5" long by about 5.5" tall to top of ears. I am pretty sure there is some type of mark on his belly, I almost think it looks like part of Germany, but can't be sure. He weighs about 6 ounces, hoping to box under 13oz for first Class mail.
