This is an outstanding find of a rare, fully intact, very well made wall clock that that was created about 65 or so years ago in \"Switzerland\" and marketed through \"Remembrance.\" The clock is very distinctive and made of heavy brass metal; absolutely gorgeous!It is most impressive and measures about 12 1/2\" high and wide. There is an outer bezel of brass surrounding the dial that has a hammered decorative finish to it. There is a convex glass crystal inset into it; no cracks or chips that I can see. The metal dial has a soft silvertone backdrop and features large, shiny brass Roman numerals at the quarter hours and matching round shiny brass markers at the other hours. The hands are stunning too, made of brass and matching. The name, \"Remembrance\" appears just above center in their familiar calligraphic signature logo. The word, \"Swiss\" appears in small block letters near the bottom of the dial. The back of the case is brushed brass and there is a number \"73 437\" embossed there along with the word, \"Swiss.\" The back of the clock movement is brass metal too and there is a built in hanger on the back along with equal distant metal spacers to keep the clock level on the wall. The winding key and time setting knob are both present. There is a slow/fast adjustment on the back too in case the clock timing ever needs to be sped up or slowed down. The clock is fitted with a jeweled, high precision movement and is designed to last for about 8 days or so on a single wind. The clock does work and does keep time most of the time but sometimes the hands don\'t move; not since why since it ticks just fine. Undoubtedly it could benefit from a service and well worth it to do. I haven\'t seen one of these in years and this one is just gorgeous on display! It is anold clock and we don\'t know the service history so expect some adjustments or service to be performed once the clock arrivesat its new home. We always advise ourclock customers to service their antique or vintage clocks at least once everythree years. Doing so will preserve aclassic clock like this one and keep it healthy for years to come. The clock comes complete as shown and shows no damage orrepairs and very little signs of use; great patina! This clock would be the focalpoint in any collection and is certain to impress anyone seeing it in yourhome, office or wherever it is that you care to showcase a magnificent, rare Swiss timepiece with a wonderful legacy behind it.
