OLD VINTAGE 1950s HARD PLASTIC ROSBRO / E. ROSEN SOX BASEBALL CLOWN ON WHEELS :

This is a vintage plastic candy container / toy made in fifties - give or take. It is not marked, but was certainly made by Rosbro / E. Rosen. This company made a wide assortment of hard plastic, candy container / party favor / dime store toys, often with different holiday themes. The company would sometimes use the same mold, but changed the color of the plastic and paint to create different character. THIS example uses the company\'s clown figure. He\'s made of gray plastic, with blue, red & flesh colored paint. He\'s dressed as a baseball player, complete with baseball cap. His chest is marked: \"SOX\". I\'m not sure if this is for the Chicago White Sox or Boston Red Sox. There is an opening, near his right hand, that probably originally held lollipops. The clown measures about 5 inches tall, or 6 inches if you include the cart / base. The overall condition is EXCELLENT. There are no chips, cracks or melt marks. Just a couple of small paint nicks. The biggest flaw is the hint of surface rust on the metal axles that hold the wheels in place. This item is guaranteed to be old & original or your money back. $6.00
