A gorgeous variety of colorful tiny seed beads are used to create this personalized purse. It seems the name ANDENKEN ( I assume this is the sur (last) name) on one side and the other side is the first name of which I am not sure. However there are not any beads missing so it is just the style of lettering. The inside is lined with very soft ivory leather, the drawstring which is a maroon silk cord is created with matching seed bead loops, and there is a 3\" long beaded looped tassel on the bottom. The pattern is superb, very colorful floral including a large rose and possibly blue pansies. The bottom is a typical Victorian design again done is gorgeous but darker colored seed beads. Size is 7\" long x 5\" wide, this is a larger purse as sizes go for this era. It is in meticulous condition with no beads missing; the drawstring will pull tight although I suspect it is not the original. A wonderful example of the era where so much was still hand created. Perfect addition to any serious Victorian collection and if you so choose it is definitely usable.
