This is an ORIGINAL Early Colonial American chest armor piece. Original chest armor is in excellent original condition. It still even retains both original forged rod iron buckles at the side of each shoulder. The are completely intact. Armor piece itself is insuperb complete condition. There is no damage or repairs. Construction is of two layers with pins and \"folded edge\" forged construction. All construction aspects are original and intact. I tried to photograph the edge to show the dual layer construction. Chest plate measures approx. just under 16 inches tall, widest point in the middle is 13 1/2 inches, depth around girth measures 6 inches. This plate is actually pretty good size and in wonderful complete condition for being close to or over 400 years old! Any questions? Need more pictures? Just ask.
