Original WW2 German Luftwaffe pilot\'s map made of heavy cloth coated with a plastic type substance. This was done to make the map waterproof in case of crashing in the ocean. Labeled: \" Doppel-Textoplastkarte \" ( Double-sided, text/wording plastic map).
One side shows the Eastern half of the Black Sea with the Crimea Penninsula, other is close up of Eastern shore of the Black Sea. Marked; \"General staff of Luftwaffe 1943\". 44 inches x 40 inches.
One side is a bit faded & there are a few dark spots that look like burns (but surface is not damaged), otherwise Excellent condition.
