Up for offers is this original leather double loop gun holster vintage late 1800\'s - early 1900\'s. I believe it to be for a Colt Double Action revolver or some similar pistol. I found a photo on the net where this exact same holster is displayed with a Model 1878 Colt revolver. Please see pic. It is 8-1/4\" long and made of brown leather. The stitching is all tight and there are no tears. There is a dark spot on the front which has caused the leather to craze and crack. There is a thistle embossed on the front but is now barely visible. There are several green paint splatters on front. This holster shows hard age and use but is still solid and I believe quite scarce.
