VERY NICE ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE ANRI MONTSALVAT CHESS SET WITH LIMITED EDITION WOODEN CASE MADE IN ITALY 1960-1970\'sDOES NOT INCLUDE CHESS BOARD**WOOD CASE IS 14X18X6 INCHES APPROXIMATELY THE KINGS ARE 5 1/2 INCHES TALL WITH 2 INCH DIAMETER BASETHE QUEENS ARE 5.5 INCHES TALL INCLUDING THE 2 INCH DIAMETER BASETHE BISHOPS ARE 5 1/4 INCHES INCLUDING THE 2 INCH BASESTHE ROOKS AND KNIGHTS ARE 4 3/4 INCHES APPROXIMATELY INCLUDING THE 2 DIAMETER INCH BASES.THE PAWNS ARE 3 3/4 INCH APPROXIMATELY WITH 1 1/2 INCH DIAMETER BASESALL BASES ARE WEIGHTED AND HAVE RED VELVET UNDERNEATH THEM. THEY ARE UNMARKED...THERE IS A PULLOUT WOOD TRAY THAT HAS VELVET UNDERNEATH ALSO.THE RED VELVET WAS WITH THE SET WHEN I RECEIVED IT. I DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS ORIGINAL, BUT, I JUST ALWAYS LEFT IT TO HELP PROTECT THE CHESS PIECES.THIS IS VERY ORIGINAL, UNTAMPERED WITH. NO REPAIRS NOTED AS THIS SET HAS BEEN IN MY POSSESSION FOR AT LEAST 20 YEARS AND IS IN GREAT ORIGINAL CONDITION. THE SET HAS A GREAT VINTAGE ANTIQUE SCENT AND AWESOME PATINA.
