This is a truly historic belt from a landmark De Molay Commandery. The belt is high quality! Made by one of America\'s finest sword and regalia making firms, the illustrious “Henderson-Ames Company”,early in their career in circa 1880\'s-1890\'s (then a relatively new firm). The makers marking is stamped onto the backside of the leather flap. The belt measures approximately 45 huge inches at the widest length. It can be adjusted to fit a smaller size. The buckle and ornate slides appear to be silver. Being well over 100 years old, the item is very good vintage condition with only some normal expected minor wear consistent with age. After all, this is a genuine historical antique. The leather has some dryness and only common minor surface crackling, but it is sturdy and most durable. A fine, handsome piece. Everything here is all original to this item. Expertly made by the “Henderson-Ames Company”. When Master Sword Maker Frank Henderson merged with the legendary “Ames Sword Company”, a company was formed that produced some of the most remarkable and accomplished Swords and Regalia of all types.
