OUTSTANDING 14KWG Large Mabe Pearl & Diamond Vintage Earring & Ring Set:

A Vintage Set of Earrings and a Ring, both in 14 karat white gold with Larger (17mm) Mabe Pearls and Diamonds. All together they weigh 24.5 grams. I estimate this set from Mid-Century rather than what many would \"jump\" to the idea that they are deco because of the diamonds.
The earrings are pierced/posted with omega backs to ensure they don\'t get lost and at the same time make sure they face forward rather than \"tipped down\" because of their weight. They are 16.2 grams. Each earring has 8 full cut round brilliant diamonds, these are prong set and range from 1.5-1.7mm. There are also 31 1.0mm rough to single cut diamonds inset into the gold. (Times by two to get total diamond weight. They are 57+mm long (there are 25mm in 1\") The Pearls are well matched, your goldsmith can \"clean up\" the glue that has yellowed with age, but truthfully, when I look at the earrings without the bright lights and 30x magnification of the camera, its barely noticeable.
The matching ring weighs 8.2 grams, has a 17mm Mabe Pearl as well, three full cut diamonds that are 1.5-2.0mm and 12 single/rough cut 1.0 mm diamond inset in it. Its a size 7.5, but can be re-sized. The wire style shank comes down from the top/side(s) of the ring at 4.4mm, and is 4.3mm at the base of the shank. There are two wire \"bands\" securely attached to the wires that come down from the top and go ring onto the finger. These provide stability so the ring doesn\'t \"tip\" but stays upright on the finger.The ring on top is 27mm \"wide\" by 20.5mm up and down on the finger.
The diamonds in this set have an estimated total weight of 2/3 of a carat. They are white and SI2 to included, but truthfully are just there more for \"show\"--to accent/highlight the large pearls. (Also, I do not clean Vintage, antique, or estate jewelry, so after a quick bath they may clean up to nicer than what I am estimating. But I would rather err on the conservative side)
The design includes multiple \"leaves\" which have milgrain/beaded edges, and one that swipes onto the pearl itself on each of the pieces. The pearls appear to be naturally occurring rather than cultured, they have a few light \"waves\" (Not bumps, but thats the best way I could describe them!) but also a rich lustre. Notice they are backed with Gold that has a flower pattern to it! This set is a \"piece of history\"--I can picture on Marilyn Monroe or Myrna Loy at the Oscars. (Back then stars wore their own jewelry)
The pearls alone would cost me $600 to buy now, the gold scraps for $500, that leaves $50 for the diamonds.... all at wholesale pricing!

I\'m sorry, but my prices are FIRM. I don\'t play the \"mark it up to give the false sense \"of deal\" discount game. In almost every case the money paid to , Paypal, Shipping and the packaging are twice what I earn. Also,I am a small liquidation shop, I\'m sorry, but I don\'t have repair personnel here. I also make it my policy not to clean estate (OK, well, some estate, but no more than 20-30 years old) vintage or antique pieces. I know this is really going to sound like a cliché, but my items ARE \"better than wholesale priced\"! I am primarily a wholesaler and bankruptcy/liquidator to the jewelry trade. I obtain many of my pieces from stores that are going out of (or have gone out of) business, from bank \"sales\"(liquidations), overstocked closeout merchandise, insurance salvage (packages lost, paid off and then found so insurance company sells for best price via sale) and from stores that have merchandise they purchased that just did not work in their market. I buy AND sell BELOW \"wholesale\" prices--in other words, most items will be priced to YOU for less than what they originally cost the retail store from the manufacturer. I primarily sell to other brokers, dealers and to the retail stores. However, In this economy, many stores are getting scared--they are not buying as much for inventory but rather obtaining their merchandise on consignment, at an even higher price to them than if they purchased. All of this translates to a higher price to the end user--YOU! I am starting to list on once again in order to move my merchandise quickly. Please don\'t be afraid of what appears to be a great deal. I don\'t \"mark it up\" to discount it, I try to flip pieces for small profits and I make money via volume of items sold.
Since I have recently become more active, many of my items wind up being sold to other dealers and retailers and reposted on or sold in their retail stores!
