Description:Issues 1-20 of this Scottish periodical published in Edinburgh by Edmonston and Douglas in 1865-7. This is a rare collection; very few issues appear to have survived elsewhere. Each issue is complete with its original brown wraps. The issues have been finely bound in two matching volumes, in three-quarter blue morocco with gilt titles in raised bands to the spine.

Both volumes are in very pleasing condition with some rubbing to the spine edges, and just the lightest hint of wear to the corner-tips. Stain to top edges of front endpapers of Volume Two. Ownership inscription of Joseph Bowstead Wilson to the front wrapper of each issue, with his armorial bookplate to the front fixed endpaper of each volume. Internally clean. Binding sound and square. A very nice fine binding of the 20 issues of this scarce Scottish Periodical - a rare survival.
