Old Antique 19th C. Goldsmiths & Silversmiths London Carriage Clock Brass French:

This is a rare, antique French made Carriage Clock retailed by the prestigious and famous London firm: \"Goldsmiths & Silversmiths 112 Regent Street London W I\"
The clock dates to about 1890 to 1900 and has \"France\" brass works.
It\'s made of brass, beveled glass, has an enameled dial (I think), and brass works.
The clock is about 4 3/4\" tall (with the swing handle in the \"down\" position, and even comes with it\'s (original?) brass key with two sizes (one to wind the alarm, and the other to wind for the time). It weighs about 1lb 10ozs.
The clock has all 5 of its beveled glass sections, and looks complete in all respects.
The clock is technically in \"non-working\" condition, but if you lightly shake the clock the gear visible at the top will turn for several seconds before stopping. Other condition issues are as follows:
The porcelain dial has a hairline crack at the upper left, and possibly a hairline at lower left (not sure about that one though - could be a part of the manufacturing). Also, The front foot has some verdigris on the left and right sides. The right side shows some polishing where an attempt was made to remove the verdigris. The beveled glass panels seem to be in good condition, but note the the insides are cloudy and spotted, thus need to be cleaned. I\'m not a clock expert, so I did not take the clock apart to clean the inside glass.
The brass works appear to be in good condition, and the outer brass sections are in good shape, except for the previously mentioned verdigris areas of the front foot.
This is a lovely little clock and would look great in your antique carriage clock collection!
