Here is an old late 19th-early 20th century dagger from Sumatra, Indonesia known as a \"badik\". These come in many different styles and materials, but always with a \"pistol\" style grip. This one isfinely mounted in worked silver. The dagger measures 17.25in. overall with an 8.25in. blade of pamor steel. The hilt and scabbard are complete and are worked silver over wood, with the silver workedin floral motifs.

Impressive piece in very good condition overall, and would be even more impressive with a good polish to the silver.
