Up for offer is a Czarist Russian niello silver cordial, madefrom a vodka cup with a later-added foot. The cup is 3 ½ inches tall and 1 5/8 inchesin diameter and weighs 40 grams. It isdecorated with floral niello work and two landscape(?) roundels. The turnedsilver base is soldered to the bottom of the cup. It hasnot been monogrammed. It is markedaround the rim with Moscow assay marks (date rubbed) and a worn maker’s mark. The foot is stamped [AK] and [84]<P>

Condition on the piece is fairly good. The niello is worn, and the foot attachmentis crude but not too unattractive. Stilla decent old piece of Russian silver.<P>
