This listing features:::: a carved and painted native Inuit mask, likely made for the tourist trade sometime during the mid 20thC. This type of inuit/eskimo nativemask, when original and actually used by native peoples, is exceedingly rare, and quite valuable. Worth tens of thousands. In my opinion this mask is NOT one of those. But it looks pretty good anyway, especially in person. And it could use a good cleaning/waxing to bring out the color more. The top of the head looks to have an old repair, plus the paint is worn throughout the surface, so it looks pretty decent regardless of being made during the 20thC.
