I purchased this footed urn when it was a lamp in 1987 at Nern\'s Antiques in Boswell Indiana. At that time Nern\'s was NW Indiana\'s best kept pickers secret with a plethora of great old stuff to dig through. When purchased it had an old brass kerosene topper stuck in it that had been drilled and electrified. It had a tattered silk cord and the paper repair tag, dated 1926, that I included a pic of, was trapped inside. I pitched the burner and moved the socket to the inside and have used it as an accent lamp since then. The round glass shade is contemporary and worthless as is the leaded shade and will not be shipped with it. I am just showing them to show how you can use the lamp. If you buy it and want them i will throw them in for free but they will be shipped separate. It has an old repair to one leg, which is shakey but firmly attached and still sits well. I feel quite confident in saying this is well over 100 years old. IF YOU BUY IT AND DONT LIKE IT, NO PROBLEMS WITH RETURNING IT.
