Old Chinese vase or ginger jar base (missing the lid), measuring 5-3/8\" tall, with crackled eggshell glaze in off white, with raised floral decoration painted in iron glaze (black), marked on the base CHINA in big gold letters, reminiscent of Peking glass, but it is ceramic, comes with an article clipped out of Arts & Antiques magazine from October 1994, page 119, showing a ginger jar which looks like this base or vase, condition: no chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no scratches, no repairs, and if it is a jar base, it is missing the lid, from a local estate.Email with questions.
