The shape with the crown that ispinched is referred to as the “Montana Peak”. The US Armyofficially adopted the peaked design in 1911 and it was referredto as the “Campaign Hat”. Park Rangers Smokey the Bear &also early Boy Scout leaders wore the same type. We find this cameltan colored hat with embossed leather band “USNPS” with metalpine cones band strap . The inside band has the Stetson Logo andalso Gregory\'s Uniform Specialists Greeley Colorado. It has a 1”split separation on the top peak area see photo otherwise in verygood condition.. There is no size shown on band opening about 6 ½x 7 3/4”.
