Selling a vintage wall light from a German hunting lodge in the Ore Mountains of Eastern Germany. THIS NICE HORN LIGHT WHIMSEY CAN BE USED AS A PURELY SCULPTURAL OBJECT! Condition is very good, firm and tight. This would have to be rewired for AC / American electricity as it is DC / European wiring. This comes with an interesting shade made from a wire frame wrapped in local grasses. The bulb is for illustration purposes only as it was broken just after the photos were taken, but you would need a similar flame shaped bulb to support the folk art shade. We have purchased a collection of artifacts and implements from the lodge which were made by the owner\'s Grandfather after successful hunts between the first and second World Wars. The grandfather and his friends hunted for pleasure and meat, and the grandfather turned the antlers from the game into useful household items and decorative accessories. Seeing this old hunting lodge would drive a PETA member wild! The hunting lodge was decorated with lots of roebuck horns and stag horns on wood plaques hung on the walls, an intricate antler chandelier, antler wall sconces, a collection of antler wall lights, and all sorts of gadgets made from horn.
