It is hand-made of copper and then tinned to allow it to store water. The ritual Muslim court is hand engraved with floral and geometric ornaments in Arabic style. On top of this Court has written three words of Arabic and the year 1217 A.H. which is 1802 A.D. I think the cover is written and Hussein Agha, who was probably the owner of this Court. This ritual vessel used for purification by ritual washing before prayer, which is done 5 times a day. This court is an important attribute for the religious life of every Muslim. This court is completely authentic and covered with old patina. Court weighs 446 grams, height 110 mm / 4.3 inches, base diameter of 95 mm / 3.7 inches and a bore diameter of 132 mm / 5.2 inches. This beautiful and authentic ritual vessel is very rare and well-preserved. I guess these ritual Muslim Court of is made in the Ottoman Empire / Turkey /, but may have been from another Arab country.
