Old oil painting on canvas, it is signed H. van Gessel, This is most likely Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw,(Monster, 2 april 1882 - Rijswijk, 21 oktober 1947), he painted for a art dealer that asked the paintings not be signed.

The art dealer would then sign the paintings himself with H. van Gessel. Gerard Delfgaauw is now a well known Dutch painter.

The size of the painting is, 15.5 x 23.5 inches. The frame is also old, and is still in good condition for its age.And the size of the outside of the frameis, 19 x 27 inches.
