A very rare oldoriginal painting by the famous Cowboy and American Indian Painter Leonard H. Reedy. \"COWBOY ON HORSE ROPING WILD MUSTANG\" This original old watercolor painting is 15 inches by 18 inches in it\'s original frame and 8 1/4 inches by 11 1/4 inches on the original artist board. Leonard Reedy was born in 1899 and died in 1956. He was a famous Painter in the United States in the 1920\'s and the 1930\'s!!! This original painting is signed in the lower right hand corner. Leonard Reedy wasborn in Chicago in 1899. As a child he developed an aptitude for drawing,attempting to reproduce the style and subject matter of Frederic Remington, the dominant western illustrator of the firsthalf of the twentieth century. Leonard Reedy filled the margins of his schoolbooks with drawings and, when he was old enough, enrolled in the ChicagoInstitute and Academy of Fine Arts.Leonard Reedy livedin a variety of locales in the forests of the Midwest, the mountains of theWest and the desert of the Southwest. Leonard Reedy traveled with Indian tribesand lived in timber camps, working long hours of hard manual labor, anddepicted the sites of this kind of lifestyle. Known as \"Chicago\'s CowboyPainter,\" most of Leonard Reedy\'s public pieces reside in restaurants inthe Chicagoland area, with which he traded for food.
