Offered here is a magnificent antique/vintage Navajo sterling silver and Turquoise Brooch. The old silver craftsmanship on this brooch is fantastic with a deep hand stamped pattern on the entire surround. There is a very large and beautiful turquoise stone set in the center. The brooch measures 1 3/4\" by 1 1/4\" The stone is irregular in its natural shape and measures approx. 30 mm by 20 mm. The brooch weighs 12.5 grams. This brooch is fitted with a pin back that is marked for Sterling with a Patent number 2066959, dating this pin to 1937. There are some initials scratched in the back JVT.
I hope you have time to enlarge and view the photos as the silver craftsmanship is incredible. A highly collectible and beautiful piece of wearable art. Not very many pieces of this age are offered for sale. I know the new owner will be thrilled.
