For sale a rare Micronesian Caroline islands (?) figure or windcharm. These were suspended from a tree on the beach to Ensure good luck or to the favor of the Gods. It has a hardwood top and three fishspines below. An old label at the back with a number on it. This piece came from amissionary monastery from the Marists (called Loreto in Lievelde) which closed down a couple of years ago. They had and sold a small collection of oceanic (and African) pieces they had. (I have more info on the prov. for the buyer). A piece from 1900 or probably older.
