For sale a beautifull and very old Asmat headhunters bag. Though one sees this type frequently, most are made in the \'60\'s and for tourists or are damaged. This example was collected by missionaries and is in excellent condition (often the suspentioncords are replaced n seeds redone). A RARE very old specimen; you can just see from the design and colors and seeds. These were the personal property of a warrior to be taken on a raid and if succesfull the head would be put in these type of bags to be carried back home.Estimated 1915 or feel confident to offer or otherwise please ask me before offerding.
