‘Vieille Rose de Herend’ decoration is an example of the Biedermeier style. It is done with civic charm and subdued elegance. Wavy rim of these porcelains with a snow-white background is framed with narrower and wider green bands. There are tiny parsley leaves on the border between the bands. The center is decorated with red-stemmed blossom rose painted with semi-transparent brushstrokes and surrounded by tiny parsley motives. This pattern brings the atmosphere of civic homes of 19th century with their striped wallpapers, furniture and fine lace covers. It is the customer favorite even today by virtue of its gentleness and modesty.

Cup measures about 2 3/8” in diameter and stands 2 3/8” tall. Intend of a cup is 1 ¼”. Saucer is 4 ½” in diameter and 7/8” deep. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips found. Colors are bright and vibrant. Please take a look at the pictures to find out more about this set.
