Old Vintage Made in Russia Wooden Top Hat Box Plant Stand ? Imperial Russian:

Great vintage wooden top hat box.

Says made In Russia on the base. Has a crest which could be an imperial Russian crest. Hopefully my photos show this.

Leather straps are missing but the studded bases of the leather straps are still present.

The box is quite big. It is oval. It is about 9 inches deep. The oval is 16inch long and 11 inches wide.

The box and lid have had some woodworm at some point but does not look recent.

Has somewear commensurate with an item that is probably over 100 years old. I have tried to show in the photos 2 areas of minor damage to the rims which is commonfor wooden hat boxes of this age

With a new strap this would be a great restoration project for a hat collector or for a person wishing to take the item back to its country of manufacture.
