The compass is in good working order, only the needle shakes while moving but it shows direction properly, brass chain attached to compass is not original it must have been added later, (please see all images for more details). During war period these type of brass pocket compass were given to soldiers. Its a good collectible piece, would be a nice addition to any old pocket compass collection and a must for old WWII pocket compass collectors...
