You\'re looking at the first year for one of the most interesting and beautiful American coupes every built. This 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado has a numbers-matching big 425 V8 running to the front wheels, which gave it unique styling any extra space to add a luxurious interior. All of this is preserved exceptionally well on this affordable coupe.
For some of us this represents everything that was so cool about the \'60s. Not only was it the muscle car era, but also automakers weren\'t afraid to try something as bold as this. With its extra long hood, hidden headlights, muscular wheel arches, and rounded rear that almost looked like the future 2nd gen Firebird, this car embodied sporty elegance. The design was so advanced it doesn\'t look 50 years old today! Also part of why this example looks so especially nice is its original shade of code-W Silver Mist reflects nicely off of amazingly straight sheetmetal. Another key to the Toronado\'s elegance was its restrained use of brightwork. It helpsemphasize its use in places like the extra wide grille, form-fitting bumpers, and artistic factory wheel covers. All of which is presented quite nicely on this one today.
Inside is an exceptionally well-preserved interior that is nicely detailed in the original black vinyl and brightwork. You immediately see the impact front-wheel drive has on a luxury car like this. The flat floor means you can have genuine space for three in both rows of seats. If you want more individual comfort, the armrest on the front split-bench makes this feel like an expansive personal luxury car. From behind the wheel you experience all the best \'60s design has to offer. The deluxe Olds steering wheel is a work of art set in black and chrome. Beyond that, the original gauge package shows that a designer spent some time getting extra creative. All the controls are within an arm\'s reach, including the power windows, AM/FM stereo, cruise control, and provisions for air conditioning.
Under the hood is the original numbers-matching 425 cubic-inch V8. The Super Rocket big block makes some of the best power of the era thanks to the factory Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor that\'s still on this coupe today. These cars were considered revolutionary with the TH400 three-speed automatic powering the front wheels. In fact, this first-year Toronado became an engineering benchmark for other projects. But what you really want to know is how this one glides down the road like a true big block luxury car should. Features like the power steering and the reproduction redline tires give this a true \'60s cruiser feeling.

TERMS OF SALE

Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the sale. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its sales early or to cancel offers solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.
The winning buyer is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the sale to finalize the details of the transaction.
A $500 Paypal deposit is required immediately upon selecting the Buy-It-Now option. The $500 Paypal deposit is non-refundable as ending an sale and not buying the vehicle is very damaging to the seller. Any refunds will be at the sole discretion of Streetside Classic Cars and are not guaranteed.
If winning buyer does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of sale close, vehicle may be made available to the next highest buyer or another qualified buyer on a first come, first serve basis.
For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred), cashier’s check, or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears).
Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective buyers are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.
Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage, or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages buyer to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

Final or winning offer price does not include shipping, tax, title, or registration fees. It is the purchaser\'s responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale.
We can assist you in delivery through our network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper\'s custody.

An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.

If you decide to purchase from us, we require that you give us your complete name, address and phone numbers (home, office, mobile and fax) and a port of entry that handles containers. We do not ship vehicles open (RORO: Roll On Roll Off) due to risk of damage to vehicle and theft of parts. All international purchases must be paid by bank wire transfer in US Dollar funds only.

Once we have received the funds, we will prepare the car for international shipment through one of our approved land and ocean carriers. We file all the necessary documents for export, deliver the car to a US port, secure it in containers and board an ocean carrier. We can land a vehicle to any port worldwide handling container traffic. We export cars regularly and are familiar with export requirements. You, or your agent, are responsible for Custom clearing the vehicle and registration in your own country.
