Antique silver Omani khanjar / Jambiya dagger

The scabbard of an Omani khanjar is bent at an angle of 45 degree angle which differentiates it from the other daggers in the Middle East. The Khanjar blade is made of steel. The scabbard\'s main body is wood, decorated and covered all over with various silver sheet ornaments, in addition to the seven rings which are on the scabbard. In addition, the hilt is delicately and artistically decorated with various silver sheets and floral patterns.The scabbrd back is covered with a leather sheet that looks new and if it had been added recently.
The various decorations on this dagger show the level of skills / techniques that the maker of this Omani dagger had.
As can be seen, the dagger\'s condition indicates an estimated age of early 20th century.
The dagger\'s condition is good considering age, with some leather tears and darkening on the silver and blade as shown in the images.
