One American Flyer 914 Log Dump Car 3 Repro Logs C-7 Nr:
You are offerding on one American Flyer 914 Log Dump Car made from 1953 to 1957. It is exceptionally clean with no cracks or breaks. The dump mechanism and both knuckle couplers work properly. The brakewheel and all four steps and handrails are intact. The lettering is flawless and you have to look really close to find the few tiny scratches. There is no rust anywhere. The 3 logs are reproductions. The 2012 TM Price Guide lists it at $70 in C-7 condition. The 2017 Greenberg Guide lists it at $59.The shipping cost quoted in this sale is an estimate based on insured shipping to the East Coast; the shipping you pay will be no more than that, but I will charge you less if I can ship it cheaper (for example, shipping in the West may be somewhat cheaper). Please do not pay for this item until you receive an invoice from me; you will in general pay less for shipping if you wait for the invoice. That will enable me to determine the lowest possible shipping cost to your location. Because I ship a lot, I qualify for discounted postage rates and I pass on the savings to you. And I pack things as lightly as possible, in the smallest package I can find, to minimize shipping costs. Be aware, however, that adds a 10% fee on the shipping cost that you pay; if you pay in advance and I refund the excess shipping you paid, does not refund the fee they charged me on the refunded excess. That's why you will in general pay less for shipping if you wait for the invoice. This item is being sold with .To avoid putting California buyers at a disadvantage, I pay sales tax out of the proceeds of all my sales; I consider it part of my overhead expense.I have hundreds of other American Flyer items for sale - engines, cars, track, switches, etc. - and Plasticville buildings and parts, most of which are listed on my website, TheGilbertGallery.org. Are there any particular items you need or would like? If I have them, I can list them on first and will combine shipping to minimize your cost as long as you wait to pay for all items at once. It doesn't matter to me which order I list them in, so I'll let you tell me.Check my other sales; I will gladly ship multiple purchases together to save you shipping costs as long as you wait to pay for all items at once. I will send an invoice with combined shipping after you notify me that you will be buying no more items. Please do not send payment until you receive that combined invoice. Items shipped together must all be purchased within a 7-day period. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you use the "Buy It Now" option and want to combine shipping with other purchases, you must first add each item to your Shopping Cart; if you do not, unpaid items will remain for sale unless you pay right away. This is not my rule, it is an rule: instituted this restriction to reduce unpaid item incidents on fixed price and sale-style listings purchased with "Buy It Now."Whenever you find American Flyer items for sale, you can learn what they are, what they should look like, and when they were made by checking my website, TheGilbertGallery.org.
