Selling one POUND of recycled German LEAD SILVER Christmas tree tinsel. After Christmas the thrifty Germans (and lots of American families too, we did this in the 1940s and 1950s) carefully removed the lead tinsel from the Christmas tree. This family gathered a small hank at a time and tied each hank with a scrap of paper to keep the tinsel organized until the next year. They stored the tinsel away carefully and never used it again.
