An original,very nice16th through 19thCentury oil on canvas painting (date on back frame seems to say 1528 but could also be later up to 19th c.) depicting Roman soldiers being greeted on a road;possibly Pope Leo the Great meeting Attila the Hun? Ingood condition for its age and in a nice frame. Contains signature on back frame \"Hans Fleminkh\"(?) with possible date \"1528\"(?) -- see photo.Could be 16th Century but may also be 17th, 18th, or 19th Century. Perfect for over a fireplace or living room (make sure you take the measurements into account since it is a large painting -- it measures 39.5\" high x37.5\" wide framed).
