ORIGINAL 1892 1892 print of the U S S ST. MARYS ( 1844-1908 ). This print was a supplement to the Sunday New York Recorder ( newspaper) in 1892. Print Measures approximately 7 1/4 by 10 1/2\".....

St. Mary\'s was built in 1843-44 at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C., was commissioned in the fall of 1844, Commander John L. Saunders in command. In 1875. she was transferred to the New York Nautical School. She served as a school ship until 1908. Measures approximately 8 3/4 by 7 3/4. PLEASE NOTE: Margins are not trimmed. Print is larger than my scanner.

CONDITION: The overall condition is very good FOR 125 YEARS . Minor edge and corner wear, minor soil on margin. Very minor age toning. Overall, Nice and Clean. It\'s been housed in a large envelope over the years.
