Original Antique 19th C Native American Indian Catlinite Pipe Dated 1883 Pipesto:

This offering is for a 19th century Native American Indian Carved Catlinite Pipe. The pipe is a basic elbow form with the horizontal part caved to look like a claw. The pipe measures 2 7/8\" long and 2\" high. The area on the underside between the two sides of the claw is carved to resemble a heart. At some point the pipe was signed twice , once on the left side of the horizontal and once on the bottom. The signatures are hard to make out due to wear. The pipe is also dated on the front of the bowl 1883 and on top of the horizontal 1883. The pipe was obviously well liked and shows signs of having been heavily smoked. There is also a small chip on the top edge of the bowl. The buyer will pay a fixed amount of $ 8.00 for Standard Mail and we will include delivery confirmation, tracking, at no additional cost.
