This is a amazing antique knife, its 13 1/2 inches long overall with a 9 1/4 inch double edged blade. Its forged from a large file, you can still see some of the file teeth on its surface). Its stamped with a primitive maker mark \"R\". Its a distinct looking mark and would be interesting to find out who done it. The knife has a brass guard and pommel cap, with a hardwood handle that has very decorative brass collars on each end. This knife comes with its original sheath for a perfect fit with the knife. The sheath is sewn along the middle of the back with a brass collar around the throat with a brass loop on one side, also the tip is made of brass and copper. The guard and pommel are tight the brass collars are loose. This entire piece is in beautiful untouched as found condition that has probably sat in the attic for many years.
