! ORIGINAL ART 1938 ETTA KETT DAILY COMIC STRIP BY PAUL ROBINSON !!!!

Offered is a nice original art by the great 20th century American cartoonist PAUL ROBINSON for a beautifully drawn and inked ETTA KETT Daily newspaper comic strip that was published in many newspapers on June 13, 1938. In this episode Etta\'s father is having some serious financial difficulties at the office, but Etta and Ma certainly aren\'t giving him a break at home. This strip was syndicated by King Features Syndicate, Inc. This strip was signed by the artist in the fourth panel. PAUL ROBINSON drew ETTA KETT from 1925 to 1974, one of the longest runs of any American comic strip by a cartoonist. I contend that Robinson\'s \"Clear Line\" style of Good Girl Art -- Flapper division -- is in the same school of cartooning as the other greats John Held, Jr., Russell Patterson, Jefferson Machamer, and Gladys Parker. Robinson also drew Romance comics stories and Etta Kett covers for Standard Comics comic books in the 1950s.

The art image area of this piece measures approximately 25-1/8\" x 5-5/8\" and was drawn with black ink on bristol board. This over 75 years old art is in Excellent condition.
