Neat Little Axe made to carry in a hunting pouch or bag. Blacksmith made with original or very old handle dates early to mid 19th Century. Interesting to see how the Blacksmith made this one out of two pieces of steel. A flat piece was doubled over to form the poll and half the eye. Another flat piece was doubled over to form the blade and half the eye, then both forge welded together.
