Up for sale is this original Bound Volume of Harper\'s Weekly for the year 1865. It has incredible content on the last year of the Civil War, Lincoln\'s second election, and the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Many of the Lincoln illustrations are highly collected and sought after by collectors and dealers. The volume contains the famous open-casket image of Lincoln at his funeral, and the famous image of Lincoln on his deathbed. See the pictures above to see these incredible original illustrations. Again, this is first edition and all original.
I have one of the largest private collections in the country of these Civil War Harper\'s Weekly bound volumes. I have been a life long collector, but am in preparing to move to Africa to serve as a missionary. Hence, a lifetime of treasures must be sold. Be sure to check out my other sales.

All of these original volumes have some issues, so I will try to accurately as I can describe the condition of this volume:
CONDITION:The hardcovers are present, attached and in good condition. The spine is in good condition. The book is intact, and could sit on a shelf properly. The pages are bright and crisp, with occasional light foxing and margin tears. There is no water damage to the pages.

It is present, in good condition, but is partially detached from binding. See picture above.259/260 Missing261-262 Missing273 Lincoln and Tad famous cover illustration has a small tear that extends slightly into the illustration. This one is very usable, and small tear could be easily mended with archival grade mending tape.280/281 Margin tear, some creases on page296/297 Lincoln Funeral Procession. Tear in right hand portion of illustration329/330 Torn353/354 Missing401/402 Tattered Edges403-408 Torn415/416 Missing451/452 Missing487/488 Missing489/490 Missing497/498 Missing533/534 Missing577/578 Tattered Edges581-584 Page Corner Tear affecting these pages591/592 MIssing599/600 Missing625-628 Missing637/638 tattered711/712 Missing824/825 Tear. This is the Santa Illustration, and it has a tear, and tatters on edge.
The December 30 issue is present, but is detached from the binding.
