Previously the head chef at the Ritz, Paris.Mayerwas the LZ-127 Graf Zeppelin cook since 1933and then thehead chef on the LZ-129Hindenburgwhen commissioned in 1936.Maier flew on every flight the Hindenburg.Xavier survived the disaster and passed away in the 1990's.
