All of the art work and collectibles being sold by Adams-Byrd Fine Art & Antiques have been collected and selected one at a time by the proprietor, an art historian with many years of training and experience in university art history departments, museums, galleries, and historic sites both in the U.S. and abroad. In most cases the pieces offered for sale on are from the business inventory (the business has been based in the Washington, D.C. area for many years). The art and collectibles that we are offering to buyers are special and unique pieces that have been carefully “curated” by us.

Thischarming original painting on paper is by Pennsylvania artist Edwina McMaster. An Amish couple is surrounded by acolorful decorative border that includes flowers and birds. We presume that this is an early workby Philadelphia artist Edwina McMaster.The man is smiling as he and the lady are walking along with theirmarket baskets.

Thepainting is signed McMaster in the lower right corner. On the back (which is covered withbrown paper), it is signed at the bottom left edge – Edwina McMaster.

Theoak wood frame is 9 ¼” x 11 ¼” x 7/8” (deep). The painting has a slim mat. It is protected under glass, so the glass has caused“interference” in the photographs (glare and reflections).

Ifyou collect art (and especially original art) and objects with Amish andPennsylvania Dutch themes and scenes, this would be a delightful and colorfulacquisition!
