Original artwork from the 1978 Rupert Annual. It is page 17 from the annual and is signed by Alfred Bestall to the 3rd panel (shown in the 2nd photo). It is from the story \'Rupert and the rivals\'.

It was made using watercolour and is on card. It still has the original acetate (this is a clear sheet that has the black pen line detail) The sellotape to the edge has browned, but it is otherwise tidy. I have also taken a photo of how the page would have looked in the annual and this is shown in the 10th photo. The entire piece measures 14.5 x 11 inches, the pictorial area measures 8.5 x 9 inches. The drawing is much more vibrant than my photos show and it would look great framed.

This piece along with the other one I have listed, are the final pieces of Rupert artwork I will be listing on.
