Have a look at this early-1950\'s THIELE M4 tube microphone:*** A rare find in great condition, fully serviced !- Axial sound inlet, 200 ohms transformer balanced output- Cardioid + Omnidirectional pickup pattern switchable- Frequency response: 30Hz to 15,000Hz, 30mV/Pa- Gold sputtered 1\" (25mm) M7 type large diaphragm capsule- Tube preamplifier with selected Telefunken ECC83 (12AX7)- Permanently mounted 15\' (4.5m) cloth wire microphone cable- Dimensions: 2.35\" (60mm) in diameter, 8.5\" (216mm) high
This microphone comes completely serviced and modified/upgraded: the noisy internal mains transformer has been removed and a HQ audio transformer was added to provide 200 ohms balanced output signal. Also the tube circuit has been slightly modified for optimal performance and a 3-position ground lift switch was added.
The mic is now completely free from hum and noise.*** Original Thiele M4s in their original state without modification are virtually unusable due to excessive hum and noise !The set includes a new custom-made power supply unit (PSU) for tube preamplifier and capsule polarization. All voltages are adjustable and stabilized.
The mains voltage can be set to 115 and 230 VAC.Dimensions PSU: 3.5\" by 6.3\", 10.23\" deep (90 x 160 x 260mm)
