Ultra-rare original mid-century travel poster for Grace Line Caribbean - South American Cruises, circa 1940.
Features a pair of confused pirates standing over a ping pong table.
Archivally-mounted on acid-free paper and linen-backed.
Measures 39 1/2 x 29 1/8 inches plus linen margins.
Very good, restored condition (B+).
Deep rich colors.
Expertly restored along upper edge, with a trim to top and color restoration in area above pirates heads.
Light, repaired edge-wear (light creases and chipping).
Mild abrasions/scuffs to image area.
Possible other light stain/mild abrasion to image area.
Light marginal foxing/spotting in places.
Image area generally excellent.
Very rare, no other examples at sale since 2004.
Artist unidentified but there is an initial (appears to be an \"S\") next to second pirate\'s right foot.
