This is a wonderful example of a mid to late 18th century copper colonial button. A utilitarian, plain front of the type used on military uniforms of the Revolutionary War era. This non-dug button measures just a shade over 1 1/4 inches in diameter. Has a large copper loop shank typical of the period. In very good antique condition.
