WOW! Here is an Original Vintage N&T Foster Sterling Engraved Presentation Spoon w/Box. This interesting 8 1/2” long, 1.22 oz. spoon has an amazing home scene engraved in the bowl of the spoon. The scene is dated 1817. On the top of the handle is engraved, S.B. Gray 1801. On the back of the handle is engraved, Susie Gray Mills Oct. 20th 1857. The spoon was made by Nathan and Thomas Foster Silversmiths who worked between 1823 and 1887. Although not marked Sterling I believe that it is. My research indicated that N&T Foster worked with Sterling Silver. You experts will know. The spoon shows very little wear. It has tarnished. The lined box is rough. My camera makes the spoon look golden in some of the photos. The color is more like the photo of the spoon in the box. Please see photos for condition. A wonderful addition to your collection.
