Up for sale, anoriginal,World War One Britishwhistle with maker\'s details and dated 1917 .

Please refer to the photographs, which hopefully are reasonably self explanatory. Thewhistle measuresabout 3 1/4inches (8.4cm) in length.

Standard nickel whistle as used in the trenches by British Army and very much associated with \' going over the top \'.

The whistle is very clearly (much better than appears inmy photographs) stamped with the maker\'s details \" ADE COURCY & Co FRANKFORT ST BIRMINGHAM \", and \" 1917\"date .

The whistle came with an old lanyard attached, which I have left with it.

There is minor wear and tear as you would expect,but the whistle is in good working order , and overall in very good condition for it\'s age. The lanyard is dirty and broken (knotted together).
