This sale is for an original WWI U.S. Cavalry McClellan Saddle that\'s almost complete, only missing the blanket and coat straps. The saddle is a12\" seat and in good condition and the leather is pliable, butsomeareas of the leather straps and seat show some surface cracking and some areas of leather surface flaking. All the brass hardware is there. The saddle has inspector stamps on the cantle straps. The leather safes are marked \"DUCAN\"and the wooden stirrups are marked \"SPAULDING/1918\". One wooden stirrup has some cracking and splittingat the bend of the stirrup, which is common on a lot of these saddles. But it remains a very nice displayable piece of history. It\'s not recommended for actual use though. Please review the pictures and email me with any questions.
