Picturedis an original early WWII US Army ammunition box for the M1917A1 Machine Gun. The box is stamped \"CAL 30 M1\" and then has had an \"A1\" added to that with an ink stamp. Slight rust and a few small dents, otherwise very good condition with no post war markings. This one was made by \"UNITED\". The M1A1 box has a locking mechanism that locks the box to the machine gun mount. Outstanding early box that will make a nice addition to your collection!
