beautiful vintage Orion pen from the early 1930s,it was made for Danish market by Merkurit in Hamburg, Germany for a Danish company - the Orion Fountain Pen Co (later renamed to Miller Fountain Pen Co). Orion fountain Pen Co. ordered and imported pens for its brand from many different pen manufacturers, to include Miller London, Hoover, Merkurit, Onoto and Siebert & Lions (Matador). Some pens were probably also imported from Japan. The streamlined Balance-like model that is listed today was likely made in Japan, since it has a very distinctive clip that is typical of Japanese 1930s production. I think, that the clip is not original.

The celluloid that was used to make these pens was likely imported from the U.S.A. - the black & gold celluloid was commonly used on Conklin pens in the 20s and 30s.

This isavery nicevariant of the \"ORION EVERLASTING 552\" filler from the 30\'s. The pen is in excellent condition, has some signs of use due to its age and minor wear to the gold plated parts.

The pen has new ink sack
